Don't care what the experts say. I am sure the days go faster as you get older and hopefully you become wiser.
2018 was a year filled with highs and lows, so from that perspective we are all the same.
What you take from those highs and lows is what makes you today. What you will strive to achieve in the future, who you will choose to be, to love, to do, and the mark you will leave on others is what defines you.
So this year I aim to be better than who I was, learn more, and share more. This is what brings me most joy.
Workshops started in January and I am loving how creative and supportive everyone is. My goal is to encourage growth in creativity, to push some boundaries.
February I took a three day workshop with a talented artist, Mary Driver from Oregon. I threw caution to the wind and created a portrait of Brad, still to finish but happy so far. Mary instilled in me the wisdom to really see rather than just look at what I am creating, to take in depth of colour, perspective etc. So this year I aim to develop what I learnt.
So what are you going to aim for this year? What challenges will you take on?
The last workshop for 2018 was only days ago and already I am looking forward to a new year of creativity, learning, sharing, teaching and hopefully inspiring people on their creative path!
2018 was such great fun with new people joining in the mayhem, new challenges met and a few great commissions for me. I hope 2019 brings its own rewards and new creative challenges too!
Workshops start Wednesday 16th January......

2017 - it's been a big year and has gone soooo fast..
Looking at the calendar there are only seven workshops till the Xmas holidays.
So start thinking about that special mosaic for a Xmas gift or just to forge ahead on that masterpiece you are creating now!
February 1 will be here before you know it.... Time to get creative, or as some funny people like to say, get crafty!
Workshops run Wednesday and Thursday mornings - 9am to 12noon.
Happy to start a new workshop on Tuesday once I have a few new artist and maybe a few seasoned artist to join!
Dates for workshops are below. Email me at firstname.lastname@example.org
It's that crazy time of year again, when we all run around trying to meet the deadline that is Christmas Day and once that day passes our focus is on new year celebrations.
So for me, with just a few days since the last mosaic workshop for 2016 I am thinking about the year that was and pondering 2017.
But firstly 2016 - every year seems to go faster and yet its the same 365 days. Is it that we fill each year with more, that feel we need to, and if we do; is it with the things that matter?
I hope I did... I hope you did too.
Wishing 2017 is filled with the things that make your heart sing.
So my last blog for the year reminds me to thank my mosaic friends - you enrich my life.
I had a ball sharing my mad mosaic world with you in 2016.
